Lading Manager™ Specifications
Software Configuration Options
Lading Manager may be set up on either a standalone PC or on a network.
System Configuration
Lading Manager runs on Microsoft® Windows 98 Second Edition or
Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP platforms. Standalone installations require a minimum
of 192 MB RAM. (If you have Windows 95 or the original Windows 98, it will not
work on your PC. You must have Windows 98 Second Edition or later.)
Network Requirements
Network versions of Lading Manager require Microsoft® SQL Server®
version 2000 or higher. Workstations should have at least 128 MB RAM. Network
versions must be configured in a fileserver environment.
Security
Lading Manager can be configured as a secure system. When secured, each user
must login with an I.D. and a password. Your designated system administrator
will assign security allowances to each user I.D. defined to the system.
Security is an option and is not required.
Printing
This software uses Crystal Decisions' Crystal Reports for all of its
printing. Your PC's Windows printer drivers are used. It is highly recommended
that a laser printer be used to print your bills, as a dot matrix (or inkjet)
may not print the bar codes to industry standards.
If you need multiple copies of the bill for signature purposes, there are
laser papers that contain the chemicals that make them carbonless copies that
you can write through. Xerox® is
one known manufacturer of this type of paper.
Lading Manager will allow you to default a number of copies to print, making
it easier to print your bills on laser printers.
