ALMSys® Forms
ALMSys® Forms is an add-on module to ALMSys® that generates lease contracts and
other related forms. ALMSys® Forms uses Microsoft® Word and Excel to produce high-quality
documents which you may change to fit your business.

System Requirements
For the most part, the system requirements are the same as that for
ALMSys®. In addition,
you will need:
- Microsoft® Word
- Microsoft® Excel
- Printer (laser recommended)
Security
ALMSys® Forms has its own security that is separate from that of ALMSys®.
Costs
You must have a licensed version of ALMSys®, with monthly maintenance paid up,
in order to qualify for ALMSys® Forms. ALMSys® Forms licenses for $495.00 USD and has
an annual prepaid maintenance fee of $250.00 USD.
The type of ALMSys® Forms license for which you qualify is based upon the type
of ALMSys® license that you currently have: standalone or network.
Basic techinical assistance (non-hands-on) with the designing of forms is available at no charge.
However, for ALMSys, Inc. to perform the tasks of form creation and/or form editing (hands-on),
you will be billed at an hourly rate of $75.00 USD.
Training and telephone support are included in the license and annual maintenance fees.
Download & Installation
You may download and install ALMSys® Forms, however, a required file is purposely
missing from the installation program. You will need to contact
ALMSys® Support
to have this file e-mailed to you.
To install ALMSys® Forms:
- You must have already installed a licensed version of ALMSys® on your PC or network. Also,
your monthly maintenance fees must be current.
- You must be on version 5.5 of ALMSys®.

Download and run the ALMSys® Forms installation program by clicking on this line.
- The installation program is set up for a standalone version of ALMSys®. If you are on a
network, you MUST redirect the installation program as follows:
- Press the Advanced Options Installation button.
- Change the Program Files Folder line to point to the network's ALMSysSQL folder.
- Click Proceed.
If you are using a standalone version of ALMSys®, then simply press the
No-Questions-Asked Installation button.
- Press the Thanks! button at the end.
- From the Start - All Programs - ALMSys Forms menu,
select ALMSys Forms Initial Dataset Build Utility
- Press the Connect to ALMSys Forms button.
- It will state that the ALMSys Forms database cannot be found. Do not try again.
- You will be asked to create the ALMSys Forms database. Reply Yes to this message.
- You will receive a message stating the success of the database creation. If it failed,
stop here and contact support. Otherwise, continue.
- You will receive messages that the Control file cannot be not found. This is OK. Please keep pressing
the OK button until it stops complaining.
- Press the Create All Tables button and let it run. This will place a check mark beside each
table listed in the white box.
- Exit
- At this point, you need the special file from
ALMSys® Support.
- From the Start - All Programs - ALMSys Forms menu,
select ALMSys Forms Initial Dataset Load Utility
- Press the Connect to ALMSys Forms button.
- Press the Load All Tables button and let it run. This will place a gray check mark beside each
table listed in the white box.
- Exit
ALMSys® Forms is now ready.
Two new icons have been placed on your desktop; one for ALMSys® Forms
and one for ALMSys® Forms Backup. Please understand that ALMSys® Forms has its own, separate
database and does not co-mingle with ALMSys' data. In order to be properly protected, you will need to take
periodic ALMSys® Forms backups.
The initial user i.d. and password is master. Please contact
ALMSys® Support
for training.
